In short
- You book on WhatsApp or by email; a 50% deposit confirms the booking and the rest is paid on the trip day.

About these terms
Daymaniyat Tours runs boat trips from Seeb Marina in Muscat to the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve, and dolphin trips from Marina Bandar Al Rowdha. These terms apply to every enquiry, booking and trip with us. Read them together with the trip page and your written booking confirmation; if your confirmation says something different for your booking, the confirmation applies.
Booking
- Send us the trip, date and number of guests on WhatsApp or by email. We reply with availability and the price.
- To confirm, you pay a 50% deposit through the secure payment link we send. The booking is confirmed when we confirm it to you in writing.
- A place we have offered may be released if the deposit is not paid in the time we agreed.
- The person who books for a group gives us correct details for everyone (number of guests, children’s ages, diving levels, health points) and shares these terms with them.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in Omani rials (OMR), per person unless the trip page says per boat, and 5% VAT is added.
- Island permits are included on shared trips, diving and camping. On a private boat they are added per guest.
- The deposit is paid by card or Apple Pay through a secure payment link. The rest is paid on the trip day, by card or cash.
- Never send card numbers, security codes or banking passwords by WhatsApp or email. Our team never sees or keeps your card details.
Cancellations and refunds
More than 48 hours before departure you get back 50% of the booking total, minus a 5% payment fee. Within 48 hours, or if you don’t come, there is no refund. If we cancel for unsafe weather or sea, you get a full refund or a new date. All details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Meeting points and timing
- Island trips leave from Seeb Marina, dolphin trips from Marina Bandar Al Rowdha. We send the exact meeting point and the captain’s phone number on WhatsApp after you book.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. Free public parking is available at Seeb Marina, and there is always space on board for your luggage.
- Hotel transport is not included; we can arrange it for an extra fee if you ask before booking.
- If you are running late, call the captain. On some days the boat can wait 10–20 minutes, but it cannot always wait for other guests’ sake.
Health, safety and behaviour
- Follow the captain’s and the crew’s instructions at all times. The captain may change or stop any activity, or refuse a guest, for safety.
- Tell us before the trip about any health condition, pregnancy, injury or medicine that could matter on a speedboat or in the water, and ask your doctor first if unsure.
- Tell us if you cannot swim. Non-swimmers are welcome: everyone gets a life jacket, and a crew member helps in the water.
- Guests who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs may not snorkel, swim or dive.
- Smoking, music and drones are allowed in moderation, as long as other guests are not disturbed.
Children
- Children are welcome. Ages 3–12 pay the child price; under-3s travel free, except on camping (10 OMR).
- Children must stay with a parent or responsible adult at all times.
- We have life jackets for children. For babies, please bring a fitted infant life jacket or ask us if we have the size.
- Discover Scuba starts at 14 years.
Diving
- Discover Scuba needs no certificate. Guests fill in a medical questionnaire, and the instructor decides whether it is safe to dive.
- Certified divers show a certification card (any agency) and tell us their level, number of dives and date of their last dive. After more than 2 years without diving, a refresher is needed.
- Wait at least 18–24 hours after diving before you fly.
The nature reserve and wildlife
- The Daymaniyat Islands are a protected nature reserve. Don’t touch, chase or feed animals, don’t stand on the coral and don’t take anything from the reef.
- From 1 May to 31 October the island beaches are closed for nesting turtles; snorkeling and diving from the boat continue.
- Wildlife is never guaranteed, and not seeing an animal is not a reason for a refund.
Weather and changes
The captain decides each day whether it is safe to go out and may change the route, sites, timing or beach stop. If we cancel the whole trip, you get a full refund or a new date (see the Refund and Cancellation Policy).
Equipment and belongings
We provide the equipment listed on each trip page. Please look after it and tell the crew about any problem. Your own belongings stay your responsibility, so bring a waterproof bag for phones and valuables.
Photos
The crew are happy to take photos of you when you ask. We only use photos of guests, for example on this website, with their permission.
Risks and insurance
Boat trips, snorkeling, diving, swimming and camping carry natural risks that cannot be removed completely. We recommend travel and medical insurance, and diving insurance for divers. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Complaints and law
If something is not right, please tell us during the trip or contact us as soon as possible, so we can try to fix it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and nothing in them removes your rights under those laws.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you book applies to your booking.
