Arrive at Seeb Port and meet your Daymaniyat Tours team. We’ll complete check-in, hand out snorkeling equipment, run through a safety briefing, and get everyone ready before boarding the boat. If you’d like to add a GoPro or underwater scooter to your day, let the team know at this point.

Boat Departure to Daymaniyat Islands

Board the boat and set off across the Gulf of Oman. The journey to the Daymaniyat Islands takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Enjoy the open sea crossing, take in the views of the Muscat coastline behind you, and keep your eyes on the water — dolphin sightings on the way out are common.

First Snorkeling Stop

Arrive at the first snorkeling site and drop into the crystal-clear waters of the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve. Your guide will lead you to the best spots for marine life activity at this location. Expect coral gardens, schools of tropical fish, and a very real chance of swimming alongside sea turtles. All equipment and life jackets are provided — just enjoy the water.

Second Snorkeling Stop

Move to a second prime snorkeling site within the reserve. Different spots reveal different marine life and coral formations — your second dive is often the one where the most memorable encounters happen. Seasonal guests may spot whale sharks, stingrays, and reef sharks in addition to the resident turtles and reef fish.

Third Snorkeling Stop (Conditions Permitting)

Subject to sea conditions and marine activity on the day, your guide may take the group to a third snorkeling location within the reserve — one of the key advantages of the full day tour over a shorter trip. More time on the water means more flexibility to find the best spots of the day.

Beach Arrival & Lunch

Come ashore and settle into your shaded beach area. Enjoy your included lunch and sandwiches on the beach as the midday sun reaches its peak overhead. The shaded setup means you can relax in comfort without the full heat of the day — eat, rehydrate with your included drinks, and take a well-earned break after the morning’s snorkeling.

Free Time at the Beach

The rest of the afternoon is yours. Swim in the shallows, explore the beach on foot, try out an underwater scooter if you’ve hired one, or simply lie back under the shade and enjoy the extraordinary atmosphere of the Daymaniyat Islands with nothing on the agenda. This is the part of the full day tour that our guests consistently say they wish they had on the half day trips — pure, unhurried island time with no clock to watch.

Board the Boat for Return

As the afternoon light softens over the Gulf of Oman, board the boat and begin the return journey to Seeb Port. The late afternoon crossing is one of the most beautiful moments of the day — the light on the water at this hour is stunning. Watch for dolphins on the return journey as pods are frequently spotted near the islands in the early evening.

Arrive back at Seeb Port

Return to Seeb Port in Muscat by approximately 6:00 PM, completing your full day at the Daymaniyat Islands. For most of our guests this is the longest they’ve ever spent at the reserve — and the one they wish they’d booked from the start.

What is the difference between the full day tour and the half day snorkeling tours?

The half day tours run for approximately 4 hours and focus on snorkeling at 1 to 2 sites before returning to Muscat. The full day tour runs from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM — giving you time at 2 to 3 snorkeling spots plus a full afternoon at the beach with a shaded area, lunch, and free time to swim and explore at your own pace. If you have a free day in Muscat, the full day tour is the most complete Daymaniyat Islands experience available.

Is lunch included in the full day tour?

What is the shaded beach area?

We set up a comfortable shared shaded area on the beach for all guests on the full day tour. This gives you a cool, comfortable base to relax, eat, and rest between swimming sessions during the afternoon hours.

Can I rent a GoPro or underwater scooter on the day?

Yes. A GoPro camera can be rented for OMR 12 and an underwater scooter for OMR 28. Both are available on the day — just let the team know when you arrive at Seeb Port.

What is an underwater scooter?

An underwater scooter is a handheld motorised device that propels you through the water with minimal effort — ideal for covering more ground underwater and getting closer to marine life without tiring yourself out. It’s a popular add-on for guests who want to explore more of the reef during the snorkeling sessions.

Is the full day tour suitable for children?

Yes. Children from 3 years old are welcome and benefit from a discounted price of OMR 26. Life jackets are provided for all guests and the beach setup gives younger children plenty of safe space to swim and play in the shallows during the afternoon.

Is the beach stop available year round?

The beach landing is available from November to April. During May to October the Daymaniyat Islands beaches are closed to visitors due to sea turtle nesting season. During these months the full day tour continues with extended time on the water and snorkeling — the beach stop is replaced with additional time at snorkeling sites.

How many snorkeling spots do we visit?

The full day tour visits 2 to 3 snorkeling spots within the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve. The exact spots are chosen by your guide on the day based on sea conditions, visibility, and marine activity — this flexibility is one of the key advantages of having a full day rather than a fixed half day schedule.

What marine life will I see?

Sea turtles, tropical reef fish, coral gardens, stingrays, and clownfish are common on almost every trip. Whale shark sightings are possible from approximately June to September. Reef sharks and dolphins are also occasionally encountered. The Daymaniyat Islands are the most biodiverse marine environment in Oman and every full day visit is different.

Is the tour suitable for non-swimmers?
