Limited customer refund
Refund equal to 50% of the total booking amount, less the applicable 5% payment-processing fee.
Booking policy
This policy explains what happens when a customer cancels, misses or requests changes to a confirmed Daymaniyat Tours booking, and when Daymaniyat Tours cancels an entire trip.
Policy overview
The result of a cancellation depends on who cancels, when the cancellation is received, whether the entire trip is cancelled and whether the booked service has already begun.
Refund equal to 50% of the total booking amount, less the applicable 5% payment-processing fee.
Customer cancellations received within 48 hours of the confirmed departure time are non-refundable.
Missing the departure without an approved change is treated as a no-show.
When Daymaniyat Tours cancels the entire confirmed trip, the amount paid for that trip is refunded.
Early customer cancellation
When Daymaniyat Tours receives a customer cancellation more than 48 hours before the confirmed departure time, the booking qualifies for the limited refund described below.
The request must be received more than 48 hours before the departure time shown in the written confirmation.
The refundable portion is equal to 50% of the total confirmed booking amount.
The applicable 5% payment-processing fee is deducted when calculating the amount returned to the customer.
The period is measured backwards from the confirmed tour departure time, not from the date on which the booking was originally made.
The cancellation is recorded when the request is received through an official Daymaniyat Tours contact channel.
Late customer cancellation
Customer cancellations received within 48 hours of the confirmed departure time are non-refundable because boats, permits, crew, guides, equipment and other operating arrangements may already have been committed.
Payments already made are non-refundable when the cancellation request is received within the final 48-hour period.
Cancelling on the departure day does not create a right to recover the deposit or other amount already paid.
A guest who withdraws after check-in, departure or the start of service is not automatically entitled to a refund.
The 48-hour period is measured from the time Daymaniyat Tours receives the cancellation request to the confirmed departure time stated in the booking confirmation.
For example, a tour confirmed for 8:30 AM is already inside the late-cancellation period once fewer than 48 complete hours remain before 8:30 AM on the departure date.
Missed departures
A confirmed guest who does not arrive, arrives too late to complete check-in or misses the boat departure is treated as a no-show unless Daymaniyat Tours has approved another arrangement in writing.
The guest does not attend the confirmed departure and did not obtain an approved cancellation or date change.
The guest reaches the marina after the boat has departed or after boarding is no longer possible.
The guest misses departure because they travelled to a location different from the meeting point in the confirmation.
Traffic, taxi delays, vehicle problems, parking difficulties or other guest travel arrangements cause the departure to be missed.
Daymaniyat Islands trips normally depart from Seeb Marina, while dolphin-watching trips normally depart from Bandar Al Rowdha Marina.
Guests must allow sufficient time for traffic, parking, locating the team, equipment preparation and boarding.
The booking organiser should check email and WhatsApp for final operational instructions or meeting-point updates.
Changing a booking
Rescheduling is not guaranteed. A request to change the trip date, departure time or experience is subject to Daymaniyat Tours’ approval, availability and any additional cost resulting from the change.
Contact Daymaniyat Tours with the booking name, original date and preferred replacement date.
We check boats, shared places, crew, guides, permits, equipment and seasonal availability.
Any price difference, permit adjustment or rescheduling fee is explained before the change is accepted.
The replacement booking becomes effective only when Daymaniyat Tours confirms it in writing.
The requested replacement date may be unavailable, especially during weekends, holidays, high season or when a particular boat or activity is required.
A change in guest numbers, boat capacity, season, trip type, permit category or optional equipment may alter the total booking price.
An approved new date replaces the original booking date. Any later change remains subject to a fresh review and may be refused or charged separately.
Sending a rescheduling request does not suspend, cancel or replace the original reservation.
Until written approval is issued, the original date, departure time, cancellation deadline and payment conditions continue to apply.
Operator cancellation
If Daymaniyat Tours cancels the entire confirmed trip because it is unsafe, unavailable or impracticable to operate, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid for that cancelled booking.
The confirmed departure does not operate and the booked guests do not receive the main tour service.
The refund covers the amount received by Daymaniyat Tours for the affected booking.
Approved refunds are normally processed within five to seven working days.
A complete cancellation may occur where the trip cannot reasonably or safely proceed because of circumstances such as:
Trip adjustments
A marine trip may still operate safely while requiring reasonable changes to its route, timing, activity sites, island access or order of activities.
This applies when Daymaniyat Tours cancels the complete confirmed trip and the main booked service does not operate.
The customer may accept a replacement date instead, but is not required to do so.
A route, site, beach stop, activity order or timing may reasonably change while the main booked experience continues.
Any refund or adjustment depends on the extent of the change, the service delivered and applicable consumer rights.
The captain may select another snorkelling, diving or cruising location better suited to the conditions.
A planned landing may be shortened or omitted because of waves, reserve rules, safety or seasonal restrictions.
Departure, return or time spent at a particular location may change for safety or operational reasons.
Forecasts are considered, but actual wind, waves, currents, visibility, marina instructions and conditions encountered on the water may require a different decision.
The captain, guide or diving professional has authority to modify or stop an activity where reasonably necessary for safety.
From 1 May to 31 October, island landing, beach stops and camping are not permitted. Boat-based snorkelling and swimming may continue at suitable locations.
Booking an experience during this period does not create an entitlement to island landing or a beach stop.
Partial participation
A guest is not automatically entitled to a refund merely because they choose not to use an included activity or cannot complete it for a guest-related reason after the trip has begun.
The booking price remains applicable where a guest joins the boat trip but decides not to snorkel, swim or dive.
A non-participating guest still occupies booked capacity and receives the transport and other included services.
Seasickness, tiredness, anxiety, loss of confidence or a personal decision to stop participating does not normally create a right to a refund.
Guests should notify the crew immediately when assistance is needed.
No automatic refund applies where participation is refused because the guest did not meet a disclosed age, certification, health or activity requirement.
Certified divers must provide acceptable digital or physical proof of certification.
A guest restricted or removed because of serious misconduct, impairment or refusal to follow safety instructions is not automatically entitled to a refund.
Any outcome remains subject to the circumstances and applicable law.
A certified diver who personally chooses not to complete the second planned dive after the trip has begun is not entitled to a refund for that unused dive.
This includes withdrawal because of tiredness, personal preference, seasickness or a change of mind, unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing.
Calculating an eligible refund
The refund amount depends on the reason for cancellation, when the request was received, the confirmed booking total, the amount already paid and any processing deduction that applies under this policy.
This is the refundable portion for an eligible customer cancellation received more than 48 hours before departure.
The payment-processing deduction is applied to the total confirmed booking amount.
The final amount cannot exceed the payment actually received for the booking.
The calculation uses the final confirmed booking amount recorded by Daymaniyat Tours.
After refund approval
Approved refunds are normally processed by Daymaniyat Tours within five to seven working days. Additional time may be required by the customer’s bank, card issuer or payment provider.
We verify the booking, cancellation time, payment records and applicable policy.
The approved amount and any applicable deduction are calculated.
The refund is submitted through an appropriate payment method or provider.
The customer’s bank or card issuer credits the amount to the relevant account.
The five-to-seven-day period refers to working days and may not include weekends or official public holidays.
Where practical, refunds are returned through the original payment route used for the booking.
A refund may not appear immediately after it has been submitted by Daymaniyat Tours.
Contact Daymaniyat Tours
Send the request through an official Daymaniyat Tours contact channel. Include enough information for us to identify the booking and determine when the request was received.
Provide the booking organiser’s name, telephone number, trip type, confirmed date and departure time.
State whether you are requesting cancellation, rescheduling, refund review or assistance tracing an approved refund.
Include the receipt, transaction reference or payment confirmation where relevant to the request.
A cancellation or change should be treated as accepted only after Daymaniyat Tours acknowledges it in writing.
The original booking remains subject to its confirmed date, departure time and conditions until the request is acknowledged or a replacement arrangement is confirmed.
This Refund and Cancellation Policy should be read together with the selected tour description, written booking confirmation and Daymaniyat Tours Terms and Conditions. Last updated 20 July 2026.
