Booking terms
These Terms and Conditions explain the rules that apply when you enquire about, reserve, pay for or participate in a tour, boat trip, snorkelling experience, diving activity, camping trip or other service supplied by Daymaniyat Tours.
Agreement overview
These terms apply to enquiries, quotations, reservations, payments and participation in services supplied by Daymaniyat Tours. They should be read together with the specific trip description and written booking confirmation.
The booking agreement is between Daymaniyat Tours and the person making the reservation. It also applies, where relevant, to every guest included in that reservation.
References to “you”, “your”, “customer”, “guest” or “participant” include the booking organiser and the participants covered by the booking.
An enquiry, availability response or quotation does not by itself create a confirmed reservation.
A booking is normally confirmed after the required deposit has been received and Daymaniyat Tours has issued written confirmation by email, WhatsApp or another agreed communication channel.
A person making a reservation for a family, company, private group or other participants confirms that they are authorised to organise the booking.
The organiser is responsible for providing accurate guest information and sharing the relevant trip details, safety requirements, payment conditions and cancellation terms with every participant.
Reservation process
Tour places and boats are subject to availability. A message, enquiry, quotation or payment link does not by itself confirm a reservation unless Daymaniyat Tours has accepted the booking and issued written confirmation.
Provide the preferred trip, date, number of guests and any information needed to check suitability or prepare an accurate quotation.

Not yet reservedPay the deposit or booking amount stated in the written quotation using the approved payment method supplied by Daymaniyat Tours.
Awaiting acceptanceThe reservation becomes confirmed when Daymaniyat Tours accepts it and sends written confirmation through email, WhatsApp or another agreed channel.
Booking confirmedThe booking organiser must provide complete and accurate information reasonably needed to arrange the selected service.
Payment conditions
A 50% deposit is normally required to confirm a Daymaniyat Tours booking. The remaining balance is payable on or before the trip date according to the written booking confirmation.
Pay the required 50% deposit after checking the tour, guest numbers, price, VAT, permit charges and booking information.
Daymaniyat Tours confirms the reservation after the required payment has been received and accepted.
The remaining amount is paid on the trip day or by another deadline specifically stated in the written confirmation.
The available method may depend on the booking stage, payment amount and payment provider.
Customer obligations
Guests must provide accurate information, follow operational and safety instructions and behave in a way that does not endanger themselves, other participants, staff, equipment, wildlife or the marine environment.
Guests must provide truthful and complete information relevant to pricing, permits, equipment, eligibility, health, safety and service delivery.
Guests are responsible for arriving at the confirmed meeting point by the instructed check-in time and being ready to depart.
Participants must follow reasonable instructions from the captain, crew, guide, dive professional or another authorised team member.
Safe participation
Marine activities involve movement, water, boats, changing sea conditions and physical participation. Each guest must consider whether the selected experience is suitable for their health, ability and level of confidence.
Captain, crew and guide safety instructions must be followed throughout the experience.
Tell us about circumstances that could materially affect safe participation.
Non-swimmers and weak swimmers must inform the team before entering the water.
Participation while impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs is not permitted.
Guests are responsible for considering their own fitness and ability before booking and before beginning an activity.
Before participation, guests should inform Daymaniyat Tours of any relevant injury, health condition, pregnancy, disability, medication, recent medical procedure or other circumstance that may materially affect their safety or ability to participate.
Experience-specific conditions
Equipment, supervision and participation requirements vary between snorkelling, certified diving, introductory diving, camping and private boat trips. The specific tour description and written confirmation apply to your booking.
Snorkelling guests must follow the briefing, use safety equipment as directed and remain within the area identified by the crew.
Masks, snorkels, fins and life jackets are provided where listed as included. Fit and availability may depend on the information supplied before departure.
Certified-diver trips require valid proof of certification. Digital or physical certification evidence must be available for verification.
The minimum age is 14. Planned depth and dive profile depend on certification, experience, conditions and the dive professional’s assessment, with a maximum operating depth of 30 metres.
Guests should provide an accurate recent-diving history. A dive log may be requested when relevant to planning or assessing readiness.
A refresher may be required when a certified guest has not dived for two years or more, or where the dive professional considers a skills review necessary.
Tents, sleeping arrangements and camping equipment are supplied as described in the confirmed camping package.
Unrelated bookings are not intentionally placed in the same tent. Guests must use camping and cooking equipment responsibly and follow island and crew instructions.
Optional items such as a GoPro, underwater scooter, kayaking, nitrox or a dive computer are subject to availability, weather, suitability and any stated additional charge.
An optional item is included only when it appears in the written confirmation or has been separately accepted and paid for where required.
Guests are responsible for bringing personal items stated in the trip information, including suitable swimwear, sun protection and any personal medication.
Towels are not provided unless a specific written arrangement states otherwise. Luggage storage may be available, but guests should confirm this before arrival.
Family participation
Children and babies are welcome on suitable experiences. Their participation remains subject to the selected activity, weather, sea conditions, available safety equipment and the captain or guide’s assessment.
Child and infant age categories may differ between snorkelling, diving, camping and other experiences. The applicable category and price are those stated in the selected tour description or written quotation.
Babies may join suitable boat trips when accepted for the specific booking. The responsible adult must bring any personal food, medication, sun protection, clothing and other care items required by the child.
Sea movement, heat, sun exposure, journey duration and limited facilities should be considered before booking.
Diving and other specialised activities may have separate minimum-age, certification, health and instructor-approval requirements.
A parent’s permission does not override a professional safety decision or an activity-specific age or certification requirement.
Departure arrangements
Guests must follow the date, check-in time, departure time and meeting point stated in their written confirmation. Website timings are general schedules and may change for a particular booking.
Typical four-hour shared or private morning departure.
Typical four-hour shared or private afternoon departure.
Approximately nine and a half hours, subject to operating conditions.
Typical morning schedule for certified and introductory diving experiences.
Typical two-hour dolphin-watching departure from Muscat.
Departure on the first afternoon and return around midday the following day.
Daymaniyat Islands snorkelling, diving, camping, full-day and private boat trips normally depart from Seeb Marina, Muscat.
Guests must use the location and arrival instructions supplied in the final confirmation because the exact check-in point may depend on the assigned boat or marina arrangement.
Dolphin-watching trips normally depart from Bandar Al Rowdha Marina, Muscat, rather than Seeb Marina.
Guests should not assume that every Daymaniyat Tours experience uses the same marina. The written confirmation is the controlling departure information.
Guests are responsible for arranging transport, allowing adequate time for traffic and parking and arriving early enough to complete check-in and equipment preparation.
Nature reserve conditions
Access to the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve is subject to seasonal rules, permits, environmental restrictions, weather and directions from the relevant authorities.
Island or beach access may be possible during the permitted season where reserve rules, sea conditions, the selected trip and operational circumstances allow.
Camping is offered only during the permitted cooler season and remains subject to availability, permits and conditions.
Island landing, beach stops and camping are not permitted during this seasonal closure period.
Boat-based snorkelling and swimming may continue at suitable locations, subject to permits, marine conditions and instructions from the crew or authorities.
Even during the permitted season, a beach or island stop may be shortened, changed or omitted because of waves, wind, crowding, reserve instructions, wildlife protection or another safety or operational reason.
Snorkelling or diving sites are selected on the day based on visibility, current, waves, experience levels, marine conditions and the professional judgement of the captain or guide.
Guests must not touch, chase, feed, capture or remove wildlife, coral, shells, plants or natural materials. Littering and environmental damage are prohibited.
Turtles, dolphins, whale sharks, rays, reef fish and other marine animals are wild and move naturally through the area.
Daymaniyat Tours does not control their presence, location, behaviour or visibility and cannot guarantee that a particular species will be seen on any trip.
Safety-led operations
Marine conditions can change before or during a trip. Decisions concerning departure, route, activity locations and continuation of the experience are made with safety, reserve rules and practical operations in mind.
Wind direction, swell and wave height may affect route, comfort, water entry and island access.
Water current and underwater visibility may require a different snorkelling or diving location.
Departure or return times may be adjusted because of conditions, permits, marina activity or safety.
The captain or guide may use alternative sites or routes better suited to the conditions.
Forecasts are reviewed, but a forecast alone may not determine whether a trip operates. Local marine conditions, official notices and the captain’s professional assessment are also considered.
Guests should remain contactable using the details supplied with the booking in case instructions change.
A route, activity, snorkelling site, dive site, beach stop or duration at a particular location may be changed where reasonably necessary.
The crew may return early or suspend an activity if conditions deteriorate or another safety concern arises.
Changes may also result from boat availability, maintenance, crew allocation, reserve instructions, permit restrictions, marina directions or another circumstance affecting safe delivery.
A suitable replacement boat, crew member, route or activity location may be used where appropriate.
A reasonable change to the route, order of activities, site, beach access or timing does not automatically amount to cancellation where the main booked experience continues to be provided.
Any refund or price adjustment will depend on the extent of the change, the services delivered, the reason for the change and applicable consumer rights.
Booking changes
Cancellation conditions are calculated using the confirmed departure time. Customers should notify Daymaniyat Tours as early as possible when they need to cancel or request a change.
The customer receives a refund equal to 50% of the total booking amount, less a 5% payment-processing fee.
Customer cancellations received within 48 hours of the confirmed departure time are non-refundable.
No-shows and guest-caused missed departures are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
When Daymaniyat Tours cancels the entire trip, the amount paid for that cancelled booking is refunded.
A request to change the booking date or departure period is not automatically accepted. Rescheduling is at the discretion of Daymaniyat Tours and is subject to:
A guest is not automatically entitled to a refund because they choose not to snorkel, dive, swim, land on the island or use another included service after the trip has begun.
The same generally applies where the guest leaves early, feels seasick, changes their mind or cannot participate because they did not disclose relevant information.
Sending a request does not cancel, transfer or reschedule the original booking. The original conditions continue until Daymaniyat Tours confirms the change in writing.
A booking may not be transferred to another person without prior approval and any information required for permits, pricing, equipment or eligibility.
Behaviour standards
Every guest must behave responsibly and respect other passengers, staff, boats, equipment, marina facilities, reserve rules, wildlife and the natural environment.
Follow reasonable directions from the captain, crew, guide and diving professional.
Harassment, threatening behaviour, abusive language and deliberate disruption are not permitted.
Do not litter, damage coral, disturb wildlife or remove protected natural materials.
Guests must use boats, diving equipment, snorkelling equipment, camping items and optional equipment only for their intended purpose and as instructed.
A guest may be responsible for the reasonable repair, cleaning or replacement cost of property deliberately damaged, lost or seriously misused through their actions.
The booking organiser should assist in identifying the responsible participant where damage or loss occurs within their private group or family booking.
Risk and responsibility
Boat travel, snorkelling, diving, swimming and camping involve natural and physical risks that cannot be completely removed. Guests must follow instructions and take reasonable care for themselves and their belongings.
Risks may include boat movement, wet or uneven surfaces, waves, current, changing visibility, heat, sun exposure, marine life and physical activity.
Guests should book only after considering whether the selected experience is suitable for them.
Guests are encouraged to maintain suitable travel, medical and activity insurance covering their planned experience, cancellations and emergency treatment.
Appropriate diving insurance is particularly recommended for scuba-diving participants.
Guests should minimise valuables and protect phones, cameras, passports, wallets and other items from water, loss, movement and accidental damage.
Available luggage storage should be confirmed before arrival and does not automatically constitute insured storage.
Daymaniyat Tours is not responsible for consequences caused by a guest’s deliberate act, serious misuse of equipment, failure to follow instructions, undisclosed relevant information or participation while impaired.
Guests remain responsible for complying with passport, visa, travel, health, certification and insurance requirements relevant to their own circumstances.
Resolving concerns
Please contact Daymaniyat Tours promptly when a concern arises. Giving us the relevant booking information and a clear description of the issue helps us investigate and respond appropriately.
Report the concern as soon as reasonably possible. Where the issue arises during a trip, notify the captain, guide or crew so that they have an opportunity to assist.
Include the booking organiser’s name, trip date, selected experience, booking reference where available and a clear explanation of what occurred.
We may review booking records, payment information, operational reports and communications before providing a response or proposing an appropriate resolution.
